Things to do with fabric you love but don't want to cut into

I loved both of these fabrics and felt like they should not be cut.  I stapled these onto canvas and now they are art!!  I look for canvas in thrift stores that is inexpensive and just cover it up.  I also paint over used canvas.

Another HOT HUMID day in Indiana!!

One in every Bunch Quilt, Fair, Chicken Stroller and Sweetie Pie

I really need a new camera!!  This is a quilt top that I'm working on.  I thought I had it almost completed but I think I need a couple of more rows at the bottom for length.  This quilt is called "There's one in every bunch" and as you can see I added white around one block and decided to put it in the quilt.  The white was what I originally was going to use but then I deceided to go wild with Kona Tangerine!!

Part of our quilt group set up at the county fair and these two ladies are hand piecing a old old quilt.  Carol in the blue hopes to have it done in a couple of more years at the fair.  She only works on it at the fair and had decided to name it "The Fair Quilt"  There are some fabrics that date back to the 1800's.  Joyce in the light floral top does amazing quilts with tiny and I mean tiny scraps.

Carol is setting up her 1923 Singer so that we can let children make a pillow.  We had a lot of fun with the kids and sometimes we had all three sewing machines going.  The little kids were so proud of their pillows!!  We'll do that again next year.

This is Pam and she made all of the quilt tops that are hanging except for the one by the fan which is my quilt made of selvedges.

Part of our booth.
We ended up giving out information to around 40 people.  We had three new people at a meeting on Tuesday but one had found us on Facebook.  We love new people and new ideas!!

Here is a young lady with her stroller and two chickens.  I need one for my cats!!

Last time I showed you my big Buddy Boy so this is my Sweetie Pie.  Her name fits her perfectly!!
I hope everyone is having a great week.  I'm going Sunday for orination for my exchange student.  She is from Thailand and is 16 years old.  New experience for me but my 16 year old granddaughter wants to be an exchange student so I thought we should host a student also.  It will be easier once I retire in August.  Very exciting!!!  I'll keep updates coming.

Things Painted and my Garden Tubs

This is a table top that I painted

This rocking chair had been painted black so I painted it red and covered the seat with Laurel Burch fabric

This is an old fiberglass cow tank that a farmer gave me and it is now my big garden spot.  This was about 2 weeks ago.  Wait till you see it now.

Trying to lay out quilt blocks on my bed but I always have this guy by my side helping.

These are horse feeders that I purchased to use as part of my garden.  When my son-in-law gets around to thinning out their strawberry patch this will be my strawberry patch.  Do you see that I'm trying to have everything at a height that I can weed it easily and not have to do a lot of bending down?  I'm so happy I did this!!

This is my old dresser that is now in the living room to hold the tv.  Like my tv?  I said I'd never have a 50" tv but I went into Target and this was on sale for $242.00 and the picture was great.  I asked why it was so low and the kid didn't know.  He brought it out and said that there should not have been a sale sign on this tv but since there had been he would give it to me at that price.  Savings - $150.00!!  I don't have cable anymore but this has Netflix and other options right on the remote. The cats has a tv on the floor to the right to watch videos and they love them.  On the left are some of the cat toys.

This dresser was bad looking when I bought it for $4.00 at a garage sale.  I cleaned it up, primed and painted it and it is so nice now.  This is for my granddaughters room that may soon become the bedroom for an exchange student.  I painted the walls, we took up the carpet and pad and it looks great.

All for now!!
