Cats and Unfinished Projects

Here is Buddy Boy catching some rays

Here is Buddy under the couch and Sweetie Pie trying to figure out what he is up to now.

An unfinished project of houses.  I love house quilts and these are scraps that are fused to the backing fabric.  All this needs is to glue on a back and then binding.

This is a quilt that I made with a Jelly Roll and I love it.  At the moment I could not tell you where it is.  Time to get things in order and completed!!!

I love this flower

This is some fabric that I played around painting and stamping.  In September I'm going to a two day class to learn more about dying my own fabric and one of those days is a full day on making your own Batik fabric.  Really looking forward to doing the class.

This is a block of the month for the guild.  Each month there is a person who picks the block and the colors and then we make a block for her.

Next year we are going to do a block of the month and then you bring your block(s) in and your name goes into a hat and the name drawn gets all of the blocks!!  I think that will be a lot of fun and hopefully a lot of the members will participate and we'll have enough blocks for a quilt.  The block will be announced the month before.  One member volunteered to pick out 12 blocks and get the patterns for us.

We are also going to do an exchange of 5x5 inch squares each month so that we can increase the variety we have.

This is my 3rd day of retirement and I think I'm going to like it!!  We have a Quilt Show coming up the first week-end of October and the Evening Guild is in charge of the Boutique.  We have some very cute items that people have made.  I have several items to make yet.

Our show is not huge but we do have a good showing of quilts (100 maybe) and there are some amazing quilters in both the day and evening guild.  Now that I'm retired I'll join the day guild also.

Have a great time with whatever you are doing and thanks for stopping by!!!

Well Canada is a lot closer to you than Japan! You should use it as a test run travel trip, maybe with your granddaughter! You could probably drive to where I live in four hours. There are a ton of wineries in this area on the shore of Lake Erie. Cute cats and what a variety of projects you've got going! Congrats on being retired!

Your houses are so adorable as is your jelly roll quilt! I'm finally finding my "color language" - it's the bright colors you use! So lovely! Take good care!

Great use of a jelly roll! Sometimes it's hard to decide what to make with them. Thanks for linking to Finished or Not Friday.
